Accredited by Transport Canada, students can obtain a pleasure craft operator card (PCOC) via an online study course and online exam (visit www.safeboatingcourse.ca) . The online course is simple, user-friendly and can be done from the comfort of your home at your own pace. It consists of 5 chapters with a review quiz at the end of each chapter in order to prepare you for the final exam, consisting of 50, multiple-choice questions. Once you successfully write the final exam, you can then print your temporary card. The permanent one is then mailed to you shortly after. The card is good for LIFE!
Boaters will enjoy a safe and worry-free summer.
The National Boating Safety School was established more than ten years ago to help recreational boaters conform to the new safe boating laws. All operators of motorized pleasure crafts (including personal watercrafts) must carry a proof of competency on board. The PCOC is the most common form. The School, accredited and recognized by Transport Canada, is also a member of the Canadian Safe Boating Council and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators in the United States.
