Today’s Groupon to Biagio’s Italian Kitchen. Choose between the following options:
– For $7, you get $15 worth of upscale Italian fare during lunch.
– For $12, you get $25 worth of upscale Italian fare during dinner.
Biagio’s Italian Kitchen crafts hand-made Italian specialties and serves each dish inside its intimate dining room. Soften harsh growls emitting from ferocious stomachs at dinnertime with salmone affumicato which smokes fresh salmon and lays it alongside ricotta cheese and market greens ($12), or coat your throat with a bowl of minestrone all toscana ($6) before belting out a disco lullaby. The veal scallopini in gorgonzola and brandy cream demi glace ($19) pounces from behind the coop to startle hens and chickens, such as the breast grilled with artichokes and button mushrooms in a marsala wine demi glace ($18). Share a dish of grazzi pasta that bubbles with penne, onion, prosciutto, vodka, and parmigiano ($15) with a prom date before hurling a disk of piccante pizza ($15) into the jaws of a leaping golden retriever as tomato sauce, spicy Italian sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, and mozzarella shower over its blonde locks. Save room for tiramisu ($5.50) or swig from a bottle of International or Canadian wine (starting at $31).
Biagio’s Italian Kitchen’s lunch menu entreats tasters with some of the same nightly delicacies dished up at dinner but with a few meals better equipped for daytime TV trays, such as the divino calzone which stuffs tomato sauce, hot capocollo ham, grilled chicken, and mozzarella into its doughy hug ($12), or the melanzan Panini an attempt at reconciling grilled zucchini, eggplant, red and yellow peppers, red onion, parmigiano, and roasted garlic puree with warm foccacia bread ($10).
