People and their pets—from dogs and cats to birds and rats—gather at the CE Centre to peruse designer pet clothes, nutritional chow, and toys from dozens of exhibitors. Many pet rescues and charities including the official charity partner, the Ottawa Humane Society, stand at the ready to educate visitors. The show entertains audiences with pet competitions that include DockDogs and helps out man and beast with dog-trick workshops and pet-ownership seminars. In addition to information about furry and feathered companions, Little Ray’s Reptiles presents the Life Under the Canopy: Animals of the Rainforest exhibit, showcasing toads, pythons, geckos, and chameleons.

The show runs 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday, November 10, and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. on Sunday, November 11. Children aged 17 and younger get in free.
