Wine Kitz Iris guides oenophiles through the ins and outs of custom winemaking. Owner Linda LeGroulx calls on her Algonquin College sommelier degree to suggest the ideal wine, taking into account each client’s tastes and spillage tendencies. The helpful staff walk customers through the easy and relatively quick process of mixing and adding flavouring and yeast to their infant wine, knowing, like a good parent or tug-of-war contender, when to back off and let clients do their thing. After about four weeks of in-facility maturation, 30 bottles of fermented fruit emerge ready for you to bottle, cork, and label with the aid of Wine Kitz’s intuitive, user-friendly machinery.
